2026 guide Checked 24 Oct 2026
What are the best online English classes for kids in India in 2026?
The right class depends on your child’s age and what they need most. For small-group speaking practice from age 3.5 with rupee prices, consider Little Lingos. For one-on-one lessons fully in English, Novakid or Cambly Kids. For one-on-one public speaking and creative writing, PlanetSpark. For audio-only practice for older children, EngVarta. For a course from an established institution, the British Council.
Quick verdict
Ages 3.5 to 6: look for short, playful live classes with phonics. Little Lingos (from 3.5, groups of 3 to 6) and Novakid (from 4, one-on-one) both teach this age; PlanetSpark offers phonics for Pre-K to Grade 3.
Ages 7 to 10: look for a lot of speaking time and reading. Small groups and one-on-one both work; compare how many minutes your child actually speaks.
Ages 11 to 15: look for public speaking, debate and writing. Little Lingos Blooms and PlanetSpark focus on these; Cambly Kids suits conversation practice for confident learners.

How should I choose an online English class for my child?
Start with three questions. How much will my child speak in each class? Who will they speak with: one adult, or other children too? And how will I know they are improving? A free trial answers all three. During the trial, count how many times your child speaks, and ask what updates you will get afterwards.
Is one-on-one or a small group better?
One-on-one gives your child the teacher’s full attention and more correction. A small group of 3 to 6 gives practice in real conversation, listening to others and taking turns, and usually costs less. Many children do well in a small group; very shy children, or those catching up fast, may prefer one-on-one at first.
Do native English-speaking teachers matter?
They can help with accent exposure, and Cambly Kids and Novakid highlight it. For most children, though, progress depends more on how much they speak, how patient the teacher is and how regular the classes are. Ask any provider how teachers are hired and checked.
What about camera-on video versus audio-only?
Most providers here teach live on video, which helps young children with pictures, gestures and games. EngVarta is audio-only, which some families prefer for older children. For children under 7, video with visual activities is usually easier to follow.
How much should online English classes cost?
Prices vary widely and several providers do not publish them, so compare like for like: the number of classes a month, the minutes with the teacher, and group or one-on-one. Of the providers that publish prices, Little Lingos starts at ₹2,199 a month for 8 group classes, EngVarta at ₹2,700 a month, and Novakid at US$95 a month.
