This free 3-page pack helps 11 to 15 year olds prepare for school, scholarship and programme interviews in English. It lists 30 common questions in six groups, from “Tell me about yourself” to thinking questions, and teaches a simple three-step answer structure: answer, example, wrap up. Should my teen memorise answers to these questions?
No. Prepare key points and one real example for each, then practise saying them in slightly different ways. Memorised answers can sound flat.
How many practice rounds help?
Three or four practice interviews out loud, ideally on camera, usually make the biggest difference.
Does accent matter in an interview?
Clarity matters, not accent. Speaking at a steady pace and finishing sentences matters far more than sounding like a particular country.
